Description

The Stiffness Screening Kit is designed to help researchers optimise microcarrier stiffness after selecting the most suitable Smart MCs microcarrier family using the Material Screening Kit.

Mechanical stiffness can influence cell attachment, proliferation, morphology, differentiation, and harvesting efficiency depending on the cell type and application. The Stiffness Screening Kit allows researchers to compare Soft, Medium, and Hard stiffness profiles within the same microcarrier family, making it easier to evaluate the effect of stiffness on cell performance.

Once the preferred stiffness has been identified, Smart MCs can further customise particle size, surface charge, coating chemistry, and other microcarrier properties to suit your application.

Two screening kit sizes are available. Choose either 500 cm² or 5,500 cm² of each stiffness profile depending on the scale of your evaluation.
